In 2014 we made a decision to to establish a Pedigree Angus Herd alongside our Beef Finishing and Tillage enterprise.
We began with private and Elite Sale purchases from notable Irish herds such as Carrigroe, Dalriada, Mercury, Brideswell, Clooncolligan and Mercury.
Why Angus?
We chose Angus due to their docility, hardiness, ease of calving, strong maternal nature, superior finishing traits with good marbling in the meat.
Angus Cattle are an outstanding all round breed, Angus beef is to be found on restaurant menus in the four corners of the world.
Societies and Performance Recording
We are member of both the Irish Angus Cattle Society and the Irish Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society under the herd prefix LEMONFIELD. We are an accredited herd in the ICBF WHPR Scheme
